My Bali Besties!

The Friendly & Hospitable People of Bali

A profound memory that I will never forget is the warm hospitality from our friends and the genuine connections fostered :)

Mana Earthly Paradise Staff

I am incredibly thankful to have forged friendships even with the staff management who has been looking out for myself and my friends! I'm so sorry for accidentally dozing off at the restaurant while working on my project because that was UNSIGHTLY.........

Honourable mentions

Epa'p - For assisting us with our project interviews and providing us with information about the villa, having to work at Mana for 3 years ever since the pandemic! And making insanely good iced lattes.

Luh Des and Ayu - For approaching us for orders, taking some time to spell our names tirelessly so that we could split the bill seamlessly! Also, for communicating with us our orders kindly :) Can't wait to catch up over video calls! PSST...Mana Kitchen now has upgraded to a new apron colour HEHE.

Dek Gus - For helping us with the housekeeping in the villas and ensure that we feel safe! Also, for assisting me with my heavy luggage, transporting to and fro from the start to end of trip. I know I'm a terrible shopaholic! :<

Five Pillars Experience Team

The Five Pillars Experience Team has been one of the backbones for our trip's itinerary in which I'm immensely grateful. For example, Pancasari (the mountain farm we had our lunch) was a lowkey area, away from the mainstream tourist attractions. I couldn't find it on Google Maps either! Thank you for arranging everything for us <3

Honourable mentions

Wira - For assisting me in my project with your knowledgeable opinions of sustainability. Thank you for sharing with me your inspiring stories and the work projects that you're involved in. I will be visiting the bamboo hotel in my next Bali trip then! :p

Mirah - For being our GIRL BEST FRIEND during the trip, giving us the best recommendations for cafe, coffee and all of the best shopping spots. You are truly the best!

Danis - For listening to my rants likewise, we are also happy to listen to yours! Thank you for being so reliable, approachable and open to share with us the good spots in Bali :D

Agung - For accompanying my friends and I during the non-snorkelling portion of the trip, and getting us shelter with the friendly fishermen! I feel less insecure about not being able to swim now because we are so like-minded!

[The drivers should get alot of credit too for driving us around bumpy roads at high altitudes. That was honestly such a POWER skill!]

Our Wonderful Professors!

THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING

Prof Charlotte

Thank you Prof Charlotte for being such an approachable prof during our trip, helping us and listening to our numerous day-to-day issues despite not being physically present during the first half of the trip! From the issues at the hotel accommodations eg. WiFi, Water Heater and Bug Problems ^-^ Appreciate your constructive feedbacks which have aided our group in the project's fruition. Hope to see you around in campus and in my future Political Science modules! <3

Prof Jack

Thank you Prof Jack for always taking care of our welfare during the trip and keeping us in check 24/7. Will definitely miss the stories our friends and yourself shared during the morning breakfast chit chats! I'll probably try out Lululemon since we already have hardcore ambassadors within the Bali Gang HAHAHA. Thank you again for your guidance and sharing your wise thoughts on sustainability which has gotten me curious to learn even more about it :) Hope to see you around in campus as well and perhaps any potential communications modules in the future!
